Comfort in a jar... That's the only way I can describe this syrup. It tastes like the flavors of apple pie in a syrup that you can use on EVERYTHING! Our family took one for the team and taste tested the syrup in a variety of conditions, and can report back that it is delicious on waffles, pancakes, in granola and is a great for flavoring coffee and tea. 1 gallon Apple Cider (fresh is best)
1/2 cup Lemon Juice
1/3 cup Cornstarch
4 cups Brown Sugar
4 cups White Sugar
2 Tbsp Cinnamon
2 tsp Nutmeg
4 tsp Vanilla

The Method

Add all ingredients except vanilla to a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook until the syrup thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Remove from the heat and transfer to containers for storage or gifting!
